14 years ago I delved into studying THE 9 GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and THE 5-FOLD MINISTRY OFFICES.

A few years later, I designed a website called “Restored Bible Truth Assembly.” In there, you can read my compilation of the 5-FOLD MINISTRY FACTS as outlined by God sent Messenger, to this Laodicean last Church Age, Prophet William Marrion Branham.

Now I feel this is the time to place onto this Website, my compilation from the message, THE 9 SPIRITUAL GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

[I CORINTHIANS 12:1-11]
   1. Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
   2. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried awayunto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
   3. Wherefore I give you to understand, 
   4. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
   5. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
   6. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
   7. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
   8. For to one is given by the Spirirt the Word of Wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 
   9. To another faith  by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirirt;
 10. To another the working of mracles; to another prophecy; to another discening of spirirts; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretations of tongues:
 11. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

INTRODUCTION TO UNDERSTANDING THE WORKING; AND OPERATION OF THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT:

WHAT IS A GIFT?

Naturally speaking, it is ordinarily defined as "SOMETHING VALUABLE given voluntarily without soliciting for it"

This could be something TANGIBLE or INTANGIBLE; SOMETHING INBORN in you such as TALENT; A CAPACITY or ABILITY.

Theologians, such as in “Strong’s Comprehensive Concordance”: define it as:

(a). Divine endowment. (b). Miraculous faculty; or (c). Undeserved favour.

In contrast to all of the above, here is one given to us by The Prophet Messenger of [Malachi 4: 5-6]. Paul said that “The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him. Neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

You are called to do what THE MORE NOBLE BEREANS did according to [Acts 17:10-11]:

“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

256. You can't explain it, 'cause you can't explain God. We believe God. We don't explain Him; we can't.

DOES THE MESSAGE DELIVERED BY THE MESSENGER OF [Mal.4:5-6] DO AWAY WITH THE 9 SPIRITUAL DIFTS?

The answer is NO! There are over 70 Quotes in the message between [Dec. 07-1947 - to - Sept.19-1965] supporting the continuity of the operation and use of Spiritual Gifts in the Church of God.

56-10-01 - The Ministry Explained
14.  Then when you become in the Body of Christ, then there are nine spiritual gifts that go in ever local church body. And those are gifts that you're to pray for, to pray for the gift of speaking with tongues, or the gift of interpretation of tongues, or these other gifts that goes into the church. Pray for the gifts of healing, and pray for the gifts of miracles, and so forth. That's the ones that you pray for, and the Spirit comes on and works in each local assembly in the perfecting of the Church.

Now, many times we've misjudged that, went over the mark and so forth; and that is what has caused it. But we expected If it wasn't that way, I would think there was something wrong with the program, 'cause it's Satan trying to upset it. You see? 

WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN:

   (a). The gift;
    (b). The giver;
    (c). The vessel through whom the gift is manifested?

The gift is an attribute of the giver, (The Holy Spirit). The vessel is the person who The Holy Spirit uses to manifest the particular attribute.

40. Now, in that man was some of these spirits that was cast out of the swine in Gadara. Some of those poor people are out here in the insane institution beating their heads against padded bars, cells. Remember, devils never die. Devils always live, but there will be a time where devils will have to die. They will become totally annihilated. But now they are alive, and they work from generation to generation upon human beings. Some of them is in the form of cancer; some is in the form of epilepsy; some is in the form of tuberculosis. They get into the flesh, but seemingly they are powerless until they can get into a person. They have to operate through a person, which brings to another thought, that the Holy Spirit is covers the earth but It is almost helpless until It gets into you and to me.

God is depending on you and I. See? The Holy Spirit… The earth is full of the Spirit of God, but It's poured out. But It cannot operate until It comes into us, we human beings, to operate.

64-0212 - When Their Eyes Were Opened, They Knew Him
154. “A gift is not something like you take a knife and chop something. That isn't a gift. A gift is to get yourself out of the way so the Holy Spirit can use you. And that's the only thing I have to do, is get William Branham from the scene, see, so God can come on.”  (End of quote).

You see, he cannot operate until we get out of the way. That is why most of the gifts appear as if they don’t exist anymore. We are the barriers, but God will always have some witnesses for himself. Unbelief will never hinder him.

The same way, The Fullness of The Godhead needed a fitting Vessel to manifest The Father’s attributes, so does The son to manifest the glory of the Father.

[JOHN 5:19]
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, verily, verily, I say unto you, The son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, thee also doeth the Son likewise.                                                                                                

[JOHN 15:5]
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

The Acts of the Apostles were the Acts of the Holy Spirit in the Apostles. They accepted him as Lord in their lives. They yielded their members as instruments of righteousness unto God. They were available for God to use and to manifest himself or his attributes through them. Prestige, pride or self glory was no longer part of their lives. Their lives were as Paul described his:

[GALATIANS 2:20]:
"I am crucifiedwith Christ: neverthelessI live; yetnot I, but Christlivethin me: and the life whichI now
livein the fleshIliveby thefaithof the SonofGod, wholovedme, and gave himselffor me.

 57-0901E - Hebrews, Chapter Four:
207. “Brother, there's not a fly could light on the post there, without Him knowing it. "All things are open." Brother, He knows everything that you ever did, every thought you ever thought of. That's what He is. We believe Him like that. And when God comes into us, and sets us in the Church, He puts gifts and things in the Church, to operate His Being. If God is that infinite God, then He heals the sick. He can raise the dead. He can cleanse the lepers, make the blind to see. He can give visions. He can do all kinds of these things, working through His Church, because it's God in you. There is the Church.” (End of Quote).   

Paul, in [1Cor. 12: 4] outlines the diverse gifts of the Holy Spirit which operate in God’s Church:

-       We have no part in deciding what to have, operating in, and through us. It is God who wills.

-       Our part is to be able to yield and correctly respond to his inspiration or anointing and leadership.

-       None of these are owned or possessed by us, but our ability to yield to God is what allows him to choose which one he wants to manifest, by whom, when, where and for what purpose.

-       Take note that Satan can impersonate all of them. That is why, it is important to be filled with the Holy Spirit first, and to watch against you craving to be something that you are not. Otherwise, you make yourself a devil ridden horse, thinking it is God riding on you.

[PROVERBS 25:28]
“He that hath noruleover his own spiritis like a citythat is brokendown, and withoutwalls.”

Do not remain ignorant and presumptuous about the administration, operation and the manifestation of The gifts of The Holy Spirit in His Body, The True Church of God.

As Paul The Apostle advised, “Stand, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth.”

63-0623M - Standing In The Gap:
73. And now if it is that end age that we're living in, where we've come up through justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Spirit; and had signs, wonders, and all different things. And the gifts have returned to the church, such as, divine healing, and prophecy, and speaking with tongues, and interpretations. And though it's been misrepresented, terrifically, but yet, that don't take away, there is a good one. There is a true one, of real genuine, a gift of speaking in tongues, that's always supposed to be in the Church.

74. We have a lot of impersonations. We have people that get up and try to act like Christians, and their lives don't compare, so there is something wrong. Jesus said, "By their fruits you'll know them." See? That's how you know a Christian, by how he lives. Don't never jump any higher than you live. So then just… But in that, but it's a devil making a scarecrow, to keep the real genuine believers away from the true thing of It. But God help us to separate and be able to discern between right and wrong. And the Word will always straighten that out.

The scripture speaks of Jesus Christ receiving the fullness of the Holy Spirit, but us by measure.

The anointing on The Lord Jesus Christ was referred to by Brother Branham as “The greatest Anointing that was ever given to man; was given to Jesus Christ.

56-0101 - Why Are People So Tossed About?
294. Some people get the wrong impression of what the anointing is. Did you ever think of that? When was the greatest anointing ever give to anyone, and what did they do when they had the anointing? The greatest anointing that was ever give to anyone was Jesus Christ. We have the Spirit by measure. He had It without measure.

And one day He entered into the temple, and picked up the Scroll, and read, said, "The Spirit of God is upon Me, for He has anointed Me to preach the acceptable year, to bind up the broken hearts, to heal the sick, give sight to the blind."

And now, we would think, if such anointing was on Him, that'd been prophesied eight hundred years before that It would come, and here He was with that type of anointing, the full blessing and anointing of the Lord upon Him, we would want to run all over the building, scream and holler. But the Bible said, "He laid down the Scroll, and set down, and precious words proceeded from His mouth." That's what He done under the anointing.

The anointing is not emotions. The anointing is supreme power in control, like knowing exactly what and how (See?), and that's what's here.

That is why I said: “None of these gifts are owned or possessed by any one of us. But our ability to yield to God is what allows him to choose who he would use. That depends on who isyielded enough for him to use, knowing which gift he wants to manifest, by whom, when, where and for what purpose.Then, that is supreme power in control in you. It will never go wrong, because it is all under HIS CONTROL.

In this introduction, understanding the definition of gift is vital and important. Understanding it is vital because we must know who is involved in their administration, operation and manifestation.

When carnality is in control, it becomes human effort and God is not in it. When we let the devil use it, he cause havoc, damage and puts us into a mess. But if it is the Holy Ghost himself in control over a Holy Ghost filled vessel, its fruit is profitable to the body; and the will and purpose of God is achieved.

Let us bear this in mind, what I have so far said in this introduction. Bear this in mind as we look into these gifts one by one. Who is the operator, administrator of any of the 9 Spiritual Gifts you have seen around? What benefits have their manifestations produced? What effects has it left around ?
