DOES HELL REALLY EXIST? [ PART 1.]

God’s motive in making man in His image was to be able to fellowship with Him. And He made him a tangible being. Now, sin brought us into a place of corruption, but that never stops the program of God. A sinner who has refused the gift of God, i.e. Salvation through Jesus Christ, and dies in his sin will certainly end up somewhere. The end will be chaos, in ruin, in suffering, and misery.

 

But that individual who believed on the Lord Jesus and accepted Him as his or her personal Saviour, will be given the life of God which is called eternal life - God’s own Life that never has an end. Jesus Said

“I give unto them eternal`Zoe,’ [God’s own Life], and they will never perish or come into the judgment, but passed from death unto Life.” [John 6:39-40; John 10:28].

 

Concerning Hell, there is only one place we can find the answer to this question whether such a place called Hell exists or not and that is THE BIBLE. Before we go deeper into the discussion, I would like to say that it is not the will of God that anyone perish, but His wish is for every man, every woman to have everlasting life through the Lord Jesus Christ. But whosoever turns that grace down will perish. For God said in [Ezekiel 18:20]

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father; neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him”.

The death we are talking about here is not just when one dies and is buried then it is finished. No, he lives on in the soul form. That means the sinner dies and the body is put in the grave [also called Hades] but the soul lives on and that soul is what God is going to judge. The state of your soul at death determines whether you are fit for heaven or not. If not then you are cast into hell fire. This is to say hell follows after the natural death [the soul-man is cast into the lake of fire]. It is eternal separation, where they’re burned up and finally destroyed by Hell fire.

There are over 162 references in the New Testament of the Bible that warn of Hell. Over 70 of these references are attributed to Jesus Christ who came down from Heaven, the one that created heavens and the earth. He alone is qualified to tell us about what goes on in His creation.

[John 3:11-13] Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye belief I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

So, Jesus Christ alone is the only authority to trust to tell us this truth on the existence of Hell. According to the Gospels, Jesus spoke more on Hell than on any other subject. However, many skeptics and religious liberals suggest that the frequency with which Hell appears in individual Gospels may reflect the beliefs of their authors or of the authors’ faith group more than that of Jesus. But the truth is that a man can believe what he chooses to believe and that does not change the truth about hell. Besides, the Bible says: [II PETER 1:20-21]

Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost.

. In [Luke 16:22-28], Jesus Christ gives a graphic and indeed the true picture of hell:

“... the rich man also died, and was buried;

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us that would come from thence.

Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment”.

In [Matthew 25:41], Jesus explained for whom hell fire was originally created

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. . .”

Man, therefore, on his own volition chooses to do, or to avoid doing the things which would land him/her to hell. Do not blame God for creating Hell. It will be like blaming every nation on earth for instituting LAW of the Land, JUDGES, COURTS and PRISONS. Jesus Himself warned man about the gate that easily leads to Hell destruction:

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” [Matthew 7:13-14]

The word STRAIT means A NARROW NECK OF WATER WAY, like THE STRAIT OF GIBRALTAR, [Mediterranean Sea and North Atlantic Sea], or MAGELLAN STRAIRT, KOREA STRAIT; TORRES STRAIT; COOK STRAIT; HUDSON STRAIT; STRAIT OF FLORIDA ETC.

God’s requirement for entry to heaven is by the Biblically prescribed way:

[Acts2: 38]

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[Acts2: 41]

“Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.”

[John 3:5]

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”.

Jesus again likens Hell as a place where there will be groping for direction, weeping, gnashing of teeth. [Matthew 8:12]

“But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Jesus also said that Hell fire, which was originally created for Satan and his angels, shall not be quenched until the complete penalty; torment, pain, agony, gnashing of teeth, weeping, wailing, is accomplished. [Mark 9:43-44].

“And if thy hand offends thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

The subject of Hell isn’t a very POPULAR subject, but it is, indeed, a very IMPORTANT subject. Jesus preached often about this horrible place for one basic reason: HE DOES NOT WANT ANYBODY TO GO THERE!

[EZEKIEL 18:30-32]

Therefore, I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die O house of Israel?

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn [yourselves], and live ye.

THERE ARE MANY WHO CONSIDER “HELL FIRE” PREACHING TO BE CRUEL AND UNNECESSARY.

But the Lord Jesus Christ considered it was very necessary to preach on Hell and WARN people of this horrible place. Do you know since you started reading this article, many people have died and gone to Hell forever, and many more will have gone before you’ve finished?. I can assure you that they would all love to have a second chance. They would all love to be able to read this article you are reading right now and receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour if given a second chance. But it’s too late for them. They’ll be in Hell for ever. Then with this chance you have to Read this article, what have you done about it?

As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is our Christian duty to WARN people about the everlasting torments of Hell. So we urge you to carefully consider these words of warning while you still have a chance, while God’s invitation is still open to you. Let me continue to tell you that in the book of [Romans 15: 4], we are told that,

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope”

Also, be it known to you according to: [2Peter1:20-21]

“Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

So I pray to God to give you an understanding heart and the grace to believe what you will read here now. Amen.

WHERE IS HELL LOCATED?

THE SPHERE OF HELL according to (1 Pet 3:18–19):

“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison...``

It is a hollowed-out place in the Earth’s core. Scientists say that the Earth’s outer crust is less than twenty miles thick, and that beyond that point, there are rivers and lakes of MOLTEN HOT LAVA, or, as the Bible calls it, a “LAKE OF FIRE” (Rev. 20:15). We are sitting right on it. When it spills its fire onto our vicinity, we look for where to run. Here are some more scripture telling us it is right beneath us: [Prov.15:24].

“The way of life [is] above to the wise that he may depart from hell beneath”.

[Isaiah 14: 9].

“Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations”.

[2Peter 2:4].

“For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved Unto judgment;

So, this very moment your soul may be less than twenty miles away from the burning fires of Hell! Hell is not in some distant dimension; Hell is UNDER YOUR FEET! The rebels in [Numbers 16:32-33], went DOWN into the pit. Moses wrote in [Deut. 32:22] about a fire in the LOWEST HELL.

“For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.”

We believe Geography when it tells us that the entire world’s volcanic mountains are built from molten lava material, ashes and cinders from the earth beneath. Why do we question the Bible when it refers to the same place as “LAKE OF FIRE”?

[Amos 9:2] speaks of people trying to DIG down into Hell.

“Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:”

There will be no bunkers beneath to hide in, nor any escape to another planet above the earth. Incorrigible hard core human prisoners sometimes escape from our national, high-walled, heavily wired and intensively guarded maximum security prisons. No sinner who has chosen to go to Hell has any means of escape. [Luke 16:26]

“And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence." There is no purgatory. But Hell exists. Once there, there is no transfer. Let nobody deceive you of some kind of future transfer. Just avoid doing things that will land you there.

So Hell is a REAL PLACE, and it’s UNDER YOUR FEET RIGHT NOW, torturing millions of souls of Word Rejecters, forever! Think about that! It is your decision which takes you there.

 

THE SUFFERING OF HELL

Hell is the abode of the accursed: all the ungodly people, the wicked, all demons and Satan himself. [Mat. 25: 41] says:

“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:”

It is a place of everlasting suffering. That’s what Hell is for. Just as the rich man of Luke 16, says; Hell is a place where the disobedient against the WORD of God are TORMENTED IN FLAMES. A sinner closes his eyes in death, and the Devil has his soul to torment in Hell forever. You say, “God wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen.” O yes He will! God allows people to suffer all the time.

[In Exodus 1:22] God allowed Pharaoh to throw every boy that is born by the Jewish mother in Egypt into the River Nile, but let every girl live. Did He not? [Exo.1:22]

“And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.”

In [Mat.2:16]. God allowed Herod to kill the children under two years old.

“Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.”

If God will allow innocent babies to be murdered, then why wouldn’t He allow a Christ rejecting sinner to burn in Hell? Did God not allow Jesus Christ, an innocent and sinless man; to be beaten, mocked, and killed, so that through His death the sinner that believes can receive forgiveness of sins?

If God will allow His only begotten Son to suffer and die for the lost soul, then why should God save a sinner from Hell when he chooses not to accept the way God provided for his salvation?

Listen friend, GOD WILL ALLOW ANYONE THAT TURNED DOWN HIS WORD TO GO TO HELL AND BURN. It happens all the time.

The suffering of Hell is horrible. Not only is there physical suffering, but there is also a great deal of MENTAL suffering. You’ll always remember your earthly life. You’ll remember your family and your friends. You’ll remember your spouse and your children. Just as the rich man said in [Luke 16:27-28], you’ll remember it all! “Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.”

You’ll also remember the chances that you had to be saved. You’ll remember reading this paper, and you’ll remember your thoughts and comments about this paper. In Hell, you will always remember the moment that you REJECTED Jesus Christ as your Saviour. All sinners who refuse to repent and accept Jesus Christ go to Hell, and they go there to suffer.

 

THE SOUNDS OF HELL

In Hell, there are certain sounds that you’ll never hear. We take many sounds for granted today, but in Hell you’ll miss them terribly. For instance, the beautiful sounds of nature will not be there. You can’t hear the wind blowing gently through the tree tops in Hell, no flowing springs of water, no birds singing, and no spring showers. All the producers of the ungodly music with their vulgar dancing will not be able to perform their shows there because they will all be in torment.

Take note of what Isaiah The Prophet warns about in these verses: [Isaiah 5:11-14]

“Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, [that] they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, [till] wine inflames them!

And the harp, and the viol, the tabret, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: but they regard not the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of his hands.

Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.”

You won’t hear any children laughing and playing in Hell, for there are no children in Hell. You won’t hear anyone say, “I love you”, because in Hell, there isn’t any love. In Hell, you will hear people screaming for mercy twenty-four hours a day. It’ll never stop! There will be no peace and quiet in Hell. Hell will be forever filled with roaring flames, boiling hot lava, and the horrible screams of billions of lost souls! There is no other choice but those horrible sounds of Hell. Now you know the truth about Hell. What excuse do you have for becoming an inmate with Satan?
