(PART 5): THE BIBLE VIEW OF PLAGUES.

RECURRING PATERN OF O/T AND N/T EVENTS.

MOSES MESSAGE FROM GOD to PHARAOH OF EGYPT WAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF FULFILLING THE FIRST EXODUS. THE FIRST EXODUS WAS IN ESSENCE THE DELIVERANCE OF THE HEBREW CHILDREN FROM THEIR 400 YEARS OF SLAVERY AND BONDAGE IN EGYPT. (GEN.15:13-14) & (EXO. 12: 40-41).

“Now the sojourning of the of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY YEARS.

And it came to pass at the END OF THE FOUR HUNDRED AND THIRTY YEARS, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD WENT OUT FROM THE LAND OF EGYPT.”

As THE GENTIL CHURCH in The Spiritual had Seven Church Ages, with Seven Corresponding Messengers: ISRAEL NATURAL, ALSO HAD Seven Church Ages, WITH SEVEN CORRESPONDING

THEN HERE ARE THE SEVEN MESSENGERS OF ISRAL’S SEVEN CHURCH AGES:

1. (MOSES. FROM PILAR OF FIRE ENCOUNTER TO DEATH ON TOP OF MT. PISGA). (DEUT. 34:1)
2.  (ELIJAH. FROM THE ASCEND OF AHAB TO THRONE, TO RAPTURE BY CHARIOTS OF FIRE)

6. (JOHN THE BAPTIST… FROM HIS BAPTISMAL SERVICES AT JORDAN RIVER TO BEING BEHEADED; (SIX MONTHS ONLY).
7. JESUS THE MESSIAH. … (3½) YEARS ONLY; FROM BEING BAPTIZED BY JOHN THE BAPTIST TO HIM BEING REJECTED, THEN CRUCIFIED).

MOSES AND ELIJAH WILL MINISTER TOGETHER AGAIN TO THE 144,000 JEWS FOR ONLY 3 ½) YEARS, TO FINISH THE SECOND (3½) YEARS OF DANIEL’S SENTIETH WEEK. THEN THEY WILL HAVE A TWO-MEN RAPTURE: (REV.11:7-12).

 

Here then, is WHAT I MEAN BY THE RECCURENING EVENTS OF BOTH THE O/T AND N/T: THIS IS THE MANNER IN WHICH IT HAPPENED, AND WOULD CONTINUE TO HAPPEN:

QUOTE: (63-0318. THE FIRST SEAL) Paragraph 65.

65. “Then God takes his Messenger, with the Elect of that Age, and lays them away, asleep: and then he DROPS A PLAGUE UPON THEM WHO REJECTED IT; A TEMPORARY JUDGMENT.
66. And then after that is over, THEN IT GOES ON, and they denominate and bring in denominations … and then it gets all in a squabble again.
67. … ANOTHER MESSENGER ARRIVES on earth, FOR A CHURCH AGE. The trumpet sounds, He declares war. See? And then what happens? Finally, then, HE IS CAUGHT AWAY.

            And then when he is laid away, THEN PLAGUE FALLS, DESTROYS THEM. Spiritual Death                  hits the church, and she is gone, that group. THEN HE GOES ON TO ANOTHER ONE. OH, IT              IS A GREAT PLAN!

68. UNTIL, IT COMES TO THAT LAST ANGEL, (MESSENGER).

THAT PATTERN RE-OCCURS from MOSES TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: in the OLD TESTAMENT; AND from PAUL TO WILLIAM MARRION BRANHAM; In THE NEW TESTAMENT.

That is what WE ARE GOING TO OUTLINE BEGINNING WITH MOSES, through ELIJAH, ELISHA. (THE PATTERN OF THE DROPPING ON OF THE PLAGUES). OR THE TEMPORARY JUDGMENTS. AFTER EACH MESSENGER HAS DELIVERED HIS MESSAGE AND THEN REJECTED. Nevertheless, judgment also was meted out even, WHILE THE MESSENGER is still alive and delivering his message.

MOSES MESSGE was very simple, straight forward and humbly delivered

(EXO.7:16).

“And thou shalt say unto him, The LORD GOD of the Hebrews has sent me unto thee saying, ‘LET MY PEOPLE GO’ that they may serve me in the wilderness: and behold, hither to thou wouldest not hear.”

This simple Message of God to Pharaoh “LET MY PEOPLE GO” was repeatedly delivered by Moses, GOD’S PROPHET of that time, about nine times. And in each case, it was received with insolent defiance, arrogance, and stubbornness.

EGYPT suffered a harsh judgment of TEN (10) DIVERSE KINDS OF PLAGUES. Certainly, VIRUSES have their moments and inflictions on living things of every kind. But it was NOT A VIRUS that caused MOSES ROD to swallow JANNES and JAMBRES rods, (EX0. 7:12). It was The Almighty God manifesting his Power and Glory to Pharaoh and his Magicians and the whole earth. (EXO.9:15-16) Neither was any VIRUS involved in turning THE NILE WATER and ALL SPRINGS, POND and POOL WATERS of EGYPT TO BLOOD. (EXO.7:19). Here is why he did what he did.

“For now, I WILL STRETCH OUT MY HAND, that I might SMITE THEE and THY PEOPLE with PESTILENCE; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

And in very deed, for this cause HAVE I RAISED THEE UP, for TO SHOW IN THEE MY POWER; and that MY NAME may be declared THROUGHOUT ALL THE EARTH”

The same can be said about THE LICE, THE SWARM OF FLIES, the HAILSTORM, the LOCUSTS, the DARKNESS OVER EGYPY, and PHARAOH’S ARMY DROWNING in The RED SEA. The Bible is very clear about WHO sent those PLAGUES, or PESTILENCES, and WHY.

You might want to debate about the VERY GRIEVOUS MURRAIN upon the Cattle, the Horses, the Asses, the Camels, the Oxen, and the Sheep of Egypt or the BOILS and the BLAINS on man (EXO. 9:10-11).

But it was God who also sent them. Viruses might have been involved, but he was in control of whatever it was. (EXO.9:3): HE IS SOVEREIGN IN WHAT HE CHOOSES TO DO.

“Behold THE HAND OF THE LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: THERE SHALL BE A VERY GRIEVOUS MURRAIN.”

And the same God ensured that none of the cattle of the Hebrew Children did not die from the grievous Murrain: (EXO. 9:4):

“And the Lord shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children’s of Israel.”

FAST FORWARD, then comes the time of ANOTHER MESSENGER of THE SAME GOD, by the name of: ELIJAH to the descendants of the SAME NATION ISRAEL. The ruler at that time was KING AHAB, with his wife, QUEEN JEZEBEL.

Of him the bible said. “And AHAB the son of OMRI DID EVIL in the sight of the lord ABOVE ALL THAT WERE BEFORE HIM”. (1KING. 16:30- 32). This is what was said about KING AHAB and HIS QUEEN, JEZEBEL:

• He walked in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
• He took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, King of the Zidonians
• He went and served Baal, and worshipped him
• He built a house to Baal and reared up an Altar
• He made a grove.

(1KING. 16:33).

“And Ahab made a grove; And Ahab DID MORE TO PROVOKE THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL TO ANGER, THAN ALL THE KINGS OF ISRAEL THAT WERE BEFORE HIM.”

Any nation that rears up a ruler of this kind on earth, cannot escape provoking the wrath of God on themselves. Israel suffered three and half (­3½) years of draught.

(1Kings18:5)

“And Ahab said unto OBADIAH, go int the land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all brooks, streams of water peradventure we may find grass to save the horses and Mules alive, that WE LOSE NOT ALL THE BEAST.” (Can you recall THE PLAGUES in Egypt, during Moses’ time)?

• There was no pasture for livestock, cattle, herd, and many had already died.

• There was dire shortage of food and drinking water in the land.

• Yet God SUSTAINED ELIJAH, BEING FED BY RAVENS which brought him BREAD and FLESH in the morning and in the evening and having WATER from BROOK CHERITH. (1KINGS17:3-7)

• PARADOXICALLY, he was miraculously sustained BY A WIDOW whose final supply of MEAL and LITTLE CRUISE OF OIL lasted until rain was released again. (1KINGS 17:14-16)

• Elijah in A SHOW DOWN at Mount Carmel slew the 450 FALSE PROPHETS OF BAAL, at Brook Kishon, (1KINGS 18:40 -41), then he called for the rain again.

 

• KING AHAB, died in battle, and DOGS licked his blood in his chariot, according to the Prophecy of ELIJAH THE PROPHET. (1KINGS 22:34-38)

 

(1KINGS 21:18-19)

“Arise, go down to meet AHAB, KING OF ISRAEL, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of NEBOTH, whither he is gone down to possess:

And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, THUS SAITH THE LORD, Hast thou killed, and taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him saying, THUS SAITH THE LORD, In the place where DOGS licked the blood of NEBOTH shall DOGS lick thy blood, even thine.”

• QUEEN JEZEBEL, who was heavily involved in WHOREDOM, WITCHCRAFT, PAINTING HER FACE, WITH MAKEUPS, WEARING CERTAIN HAIR STYLE, PUSUIT TO KILL PROPHET ELIJAH, died a violent, painful death under JEHU’S ORDERS.

• She was cast out of her palace through a window (2KINGS 9:33-37), fell, and her blood spattered over the wall of her house, and ground.

• Her body was trodden down by JEHU’S HORSE.

• Dogs ate her body leaving only the SKULL, her PALMS and FEET, for burial. Again, not a normal death and burial. (RECALL KORAH, DATHAN, ABIRAM, 250 PRINCES, and THE 14,700 VICTIMS OF PLAGUE, IN (Nums.16.)

• Thereafter, Israel suffered several years of POLITICAL INSTABILITY, SUCCESSION DISPUTES, CIVIL WARS and EXTERNAL INVASION FROM SYRIA.

• On Jehu’s orders, 70 SONS OF KING AHAB were (2KINGS. 10:7-10)

• JEHU also slew all that remained of the House of AHAB in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his KINSFOLK, and his PRIESTS, 42 MEN, ALTOGETHER. (2KINGS 10:11-14)

WHEN GOD IS PROVOKED TO WRATH, through the wickedness and transgression of men, this is what man gets. The deliberate rejection and ignoring of God-sent Messenger and Message, is a very costly affair.

AHAB’S GENERATIONAL BLOOD LINE was to be BROUGHT TO AN END. This is HOW SEVERE God can be, when provoked to wrath. (2KINGS. 9:8). NONE WAS LEFT to continue his bloodline.

“For the WHOLE HOUSE OF AHAB shall perish and I WILL CUT OFF from AHAB him that PISSETH AGAINST THE WALL, (MALE OFFSPRING) and HIM THAT IS SHUT UP and LEFT IN ISRAEL.

• Both King Ahab and Queen Jezebel and all their children resisted Elijah the prophet, and even planned to kill him.

• Two sets of Captains of fifty (50) were sent to kill him, but God sent A CONSUMING FIRE, in both cases and destroyed them, like HE DID AT FIRST WITH THE 250 PRINCES OF ISRAEL. at KORAH’S led rebellion.

 

(NUM.16:35)

• “And there came out FIRE FROM THE LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty (250), men that offered incense.”

• The third, Captain of fifty learned his lesson and approached ELIJAH differently. God spared their lives.

ELISHA SUCCEEDED ELIJAH:

The succession of ELIJAH by ELISHA did not change the attitude of The Nation of Israel against the next PROPHET of GOD. GOD’S response was the same: The Pattern, I drew your attention to, goes on.

• SAMARIA was invaded and besieged by The King of SYRIA, leading to a devastating period of a long famine. (2Kings 6:25).
• Ass heads and dove’s dung were sold for food.

• Mothers boiled their own babies for food to survive. (2Kings 6:29).

• Then, God in a miraculous and paradoxical way used FOUR LEPERS to drive away the entire army of SYRIA, (7:6-7).

Now, let it be understood that THE SEVERE FAMINES, THE RECCURING CIVILWARS, THE CROSS-BORDER INCURSIONS taking place in various countries, do not just happen by chance. JESUS, BEFORE HE WAS CRUCIFIED HAD PROPHESIED, THUS: (Matt. 24:7-8):

“For NATION shall rise against nation, and KINGDOM against kingdom: and there shall be FAMINES, and PESTILENCES, and EARTHQUAKES, in DIVERSE PLACES.

… these are the BEGINNINGS OF SORROWS.”

NOW TAKE NOTE OF THIS ALSO: (ISAIAH 14: 26-27)

This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all nations.

For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? And his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

These are NOT IDLE WORDS from some “SCARECROW”. These are WORDS of THE CREATOR of Heaven and Earth and Everything therein, Visible, and Invisible, GOD HIMSELF.

The MODERN MAN thinks he is SO MODERN that he DOESN’T NEED TO LEARN SOME LESSONS from the EXPERIENCES OF THE PAST GENERATIONS.

It is THE SAME REASON that THE VICTIMS OF THE PLAGUES THAT KILLED: KORAH, DATHAN, ABIRAM, 14,700 PILGRIMS, AND THE 250 PRINCES OF ISRAEL, DID NOT LEARN ANY LESSONS FROM THE VICTIMS OF THE TEN (10) PLAGUES OF EGYPT. OR of MIRIAM WHO JUST SUDDENLY BECAME LEPROS.

THE VICTIMS OF THE PLAGUES that landed upon THE PARTICIPANTS IN BAAL PEOR, did not look back to pick some lessons from what happened AT THE KORAH’S REBELLION.

 

 

LESSONS “OF SOME WAYS OF ESCAPE” IDENTIFIED FROM VARIOUS JUDGMENT PLAGUES:

(LESSON 1): ON THE PLAGUE OF FROGS IN EGYPT. (EXO.8:8).

(EXO. 8: 12-13): THE INTERCESSORY PRAYER OF: MOSES AND AARON REMOVED THE PLAGUE.

“THEN PHARAOH called for MOSES AND AARON, and said, INTREAT (implore)THE LORD, that HE MAY TAKE AWAY THE FROGS from me, and my people, and I will let the people go…

“… and MOSES and AARON CRIED UNTO THE LORD because of the Frogs WHICH HE HAD BROUGHT AGAINST PHARAOH.

And THE LORD DID ACCORDING TO WORD OF MOSES: and THE FROGS DIED OUT of the houses, and out of the villages, and out of he fields.”

 

 

(LESSON 2): THE PLAGUE OF THE SWARMS OF FLIES: (EXO. 8:29-30)

(EXO.8:31): AT MOSES INTERCESSORY PRAYER, NOT ONE FLY REMAINED.

“AND MOSES said, behold I go out from thee, and I WILL INTREAT THE LORD that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow: … “

“And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and INTREATED THE LORD.”

“And The Lord did according to Word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; THERE REMAINED NOT ONE.”

There has always been GOD’S WAY TO STOP OR TO REMOVE THE PLAGUES, which He allowed upon an individual, a people or a nation.

 

THAT WAY HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME FOR ALL OTHER PLAGUES IN EGYPT.

 

 

(LESS0N 3):  THE THUNDERINGS and The HAIL IN EGYPT: (EXO. 9:33):

AND MOSES went out of the city from PHARAOH and SPREAD ABROAD HIS HANDS unto the Lord: and THE THUNDERS and HAIL CEASED, and THE RAIN was NOT POURED UPON THE EARTH.

 

 

(LESSON 4). The LOCUSTS PLAGUE; (EXO.10:17; 18-19):

THAT LESSON WAS APPLIED ON LOCUSTS PLAGUE AND IT ALSO WORKED!

“Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the Lord your GOD, THAT HE MAY TAKE AWAY FROM ME THIS DEATH ONLY.

And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated The Lord.

And THE LORD TURNED A MIGHTY STRONG WEST WIND, which TOOK AWAY THE LOCUSTS, and cast them into The Red Sea; THERE REMAINED NOT ONE LOCUST IN ALL THE COASTS OF EGYPT.

 

 

A DIFFERENT LESSON WAS NEEDED FOR: DEATH OF FIRST BORNS.

(LESSON 5). DEATH OF FIRST BORN of PHARAOH, of MAIDSERVANTS, of BEASTS, on ALL THE gods OF EGYPT.

(THE LAMB’S BLOOD ON DOOR LINTELS and ON DOOR POSTS; FOR A TOKEN). (EXO. 12:13)

 “And THE BLOOD shall be to you FOR A TOKEN UPON THE HOUSES where ye are. And WHEN I SEE THE BLOOD, I WILL PASS OVER YOU, and THE PLAGUE SHALL NOT BE UPON YOU TO DESTROY YOU, WHEN I SMITE THE LAND OF EGYPT.”

 

NOW, You INHABITERS OF THIS PRESENT EARTH, you better LEARN THESE LESSONS from THE PREVIOUS INHABITERS. There was A WAY OF ESCAPE PROVIDED, for EACH PLAGUE GOD SENT upon those who wanted to escape. THAT WAY IS STILL available but ONLY TO THEM WHO BELIEVE. (PSALM. 91: 1-16); “IF THOU CANST BELIEVE, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVETH”

IT WAS GOD’S WAY for all the other plagues HEREIN RECORDED:

 

 

(LESSON 6). THE GOLDEN CALF SIN AND THE ENSUING PLAGUE: (EXO. 9-10; 30:35); (30-34). (THEY WERE SPARED DESTRUCTION; BUT NOT ACQUITTED); (STILL NOT YET GUILTLESS).

 

9. And The Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and behold, IT IS A STIFFNECKED PEOPLE.
10. Now therefore let me alone, that MY WRATH MAY WAX HOT AGAINST THEM, and that I MAY CONSUME THEM: and I WILL MAKE OF THEE A GREAT NATION.
11. And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, YE HAVE SINNED A GREAT SIN: and NOW I WILL GO UP UNTO THE LORD; PERADVENTURE I SHALL MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SIN.
12. And Moses returned unto The Lord, and said, oh, these people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of Gold.
13. And THE LORD PLAGUED THE PEOPLE, because THEY MADE THE CALF, which Aaron made.
14. Yet now, IF THOU WILT FORGIVE THEIR SIN; and IF NOT, BLOT ME, I PRAY THEE, OUT OF THY BOOK WHICH THOU HAST WRITTEN.

MOSES offered to have his name erased from the God’s book of life in heaven instead of theirs.

34. Therefore, NOW GO, LEAD THE PEOPLE UNTO THE PLACE OF WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN UNTO THEE: BEHOLD MINE ANGEL SHALL GO BEFORE THEE: NEVERTHELESS, in the day when I visit, I will visit their sin upon them.

MOSES INTERCESSORY PRAYER PREVENTED GOD FROM THE INSTANT JUDGMENT HE WANTED TO IMPLEMENT ON THOSE 10 REBELS AND THEIR FOLLOWERS.

(THEY were NOT DESTROYED but NOT ACQUITTED EITHER; because THEY WERE STILL GUILTY).

 

 

(LESSON 7): THE PEOPLE’S CRAVING FOR: CUCUMBERS, MELONS, LEEKS, ONIONS, GARLICK, MEAT; AND THEIR COMPLAINT AGAINST MANNA. AT TABERAH. (NUM.11:1-2)

“… The Lord heard it and his anger was kindled; and THE FIRE OF THE LORD burnt among them, and CONSUMED THEM THAT WERE IN THE UTTERMOST PARTS OF THE CAMP”

“AND The People CRIED UNTO MOSES; AND WHEN MOSES PRAYED UNTO THE LORD, THE FIRE WAS QUENCHED.”

MOSES INTERCESSORY PRAYERS moved God to stop the consuming fire from destroying them,

Then God rained quails from heaven (2 Cubits high; 36 inches) 3 feet; in and around the camp, to satisfy their cravings.

 

 

(LESSON 8): AARON AND MIRIAM EVIL TALK AGAINST MOSES MARRYING ZIPPORAH, ETHIOPIAN WOMAN. (NUM.12: 1; 14-15):

1. “MIRIAM and AARON spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian Woman.
2. And THE ANGER OF THE LORD WAS KINDLED AGAINST THEM, and he departed.
3. And the Cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, MIRIAM BECAME LEPROUS, white as snow: And Aaron looked upon Miriam, and BEHOLD, SHE WAS LEPROUS.
4. And MOSES CRIED UNTO THE LORD, saying, HEAL HER NOW, O God, I BESEECH THEE.
5. And The Lord said unto MOSES, If her Father had but have spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? LET HER BE SHUT OUT FROM THE CAMP SEVEN DAYS, and after that let her be received in again.
6. And Miriam was shut out (QUARANTINED) from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again”

LEPROSY WAS A PLAGUE THAT REQUIRED ISOLATION. But Moses Intercessory Prayer moved God to bring SPEEDY HEALING TO HER.

 

 

 (LESSON 9): THE REBELLION OF THE TEN (10) SPIES WHO INSTIGATED A RETURN TO EGYPT. (Num.14:4)

“And they, (10 Spies), said one to another, LET US MAKE A CAPTAIN, AND LET US RETURN INTO EGYPT.”

And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this provoke me? And how long will it be before they believe me, for all the signs which I have showed among them.?

I WILL SMITE with THE PESTILENCE, and DISINHERIT THEM, and will make of thee A GREATER NATION and MIGHTIER THAN THEY.

19. Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people from Egypt even until now.

20. And The Lord said, I HAVE PARDONED ACCORDING TO THY WORD.

IN ALL THESE CASES, GOD HAD A PROVIDED WAY TO BE APPLIED TO HOLD OFF PESTILENCE JUDGMENTS.

 

 

(LESSON 10). THE PLAGUE THAT DESTROYED 14,700 VICTIMS DURING KORAH, DATHAN ABIRAM REBELLION.

THESE THREE INCITERS had provoked God to anger. Their families were buried alive. The 250 Princes were consumed by fire. THE SURVIVORS of the rebels continue to murmur against Moses and a plague was let loosed upon them.

MOSES, not willing to see them perish like the others, quickly intervened: (NUM.16:45-48).

46. And Moses said to Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the Lord; the plague is begun.

46. And Aaron took as Moses commanded and ran into the midst of the congregation; and behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense and made an atonement (amendment for sin) for the people.

47. And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed (stopped).

 

That was GOD’S WAY to bring a plague to an end when compliance is shown.

God still speaks to people. And people still speak to GOD. But we have A GENERATION TODAY which DOES NOT HAVE ROOM FOR GOD in their life affairs. They think they can do without God. They think they will go to ANOTHER PLANET when they CAN NO LONGER RESTORE WHAT THEY HAVE MESSED UP ON PLANNET EARTH.

LISTEN! FRIEND, IT WILL NEVER, EVER HAPPEN. IT WILL BE TIME TO MEET GOD, YOUR CREATOR FACE TO FACE.

(ECCLESIATES 12:14); SAYS:

For God shall bring EVERY WORK into Judgment, with EVERY SECRET THING, whether it BE GOOD, or whether it BE EVIL.

 

 

(LESSON 11). COMPLAINTS AGAINST MOSES AND AGAINST THE FIERY SERPENT JUDGMENT: (NUM.21:5-9):

People had spoken against GOD and MOSES, complaining about no bread and no water.

God’s anger was kindled, and he sent fiery serpent which bit and killed many people

The people realized and acknowledged they had sinned against GOD and MOSES.

They asked Moses to intreat God to take away the Serpents and Moses did.

And the Lord said unto Moses, make thee a fiery Serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looked upon it shall live.

And Moses made a serpent of brass and put it a pole and it came to pass, if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of the brass, he lived.

 

This is what THIS GENERATION needs to know and to hear: This generation needs to take this advice which KING JEHOSHAPHAT gave his subjects and his kingdom: (2CHRON. 20:20)

“… JEHOSHAPHAT stood and said, Hear me oh Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; BELIEVE IN THE LORD YOUR GOD, SO SHALL YE BE ESTABLISHED; BELIEVE HIS PROPHETS, SO SHALL YE PROSPER.”

 

 

(LESSON 12). THE PLAGUE THAT KILLED 24,000 VICTIMS AT SHITTIM, DUE TO BAAL PEOR: (Num. 25:8-9).

AND THOSE THAT DIED IN THE PLAGUE WERE TWENTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, (24,000).

And he, (PHINEHAS THE SON OF ELEAZER.) went after the man of ISRAEL into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel and the woman through her belly. SO, THE PLAGUE WAS STAYED FROM THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL

The Lord, told MOSES that PHINEHAS, THROUGH HIS ZEAL FOR HIM, TURNED HIS WRATH AWAY FROM CONSUMING THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, IN HIS JEALOUSY.

 

SO, IT WAS NOT PROPHET MOSES OR HIGH PRIEST AARON, ALONE WHO APPEASED GOD INTO HALTING A PLAGUE. BUT THE ZEAL OF A GRANDSON OF A HIGH PRIEST DID IT, IN THIS CASE.

The MODERN MAN thinks he is SO MODERN that he DOESN’T NEED TO LEARN SOME LESSONS from the EXPERIENCES OF THE PAST GENERATIONS.

AREN’T THERE ANY MORE GOD-CALLED, GENUINE, HUMBLE, ANOINTED, END-TIME MINISTERS WHO CAN STAND IN THE GAP AND MANIFEST THE INTERCESSORY MINISTRY TO INTREAT THE GOD THAT CHANGES NOT, TO RISE TO THE SCENE AGAIN AND MEET THE NEED OF TODAY?

MINISTER, MINISTER WHERE ART THOU?

 

 

(LESSON 13). ELIJAH’S JUDGMENT TIME; NO AMENDS FROM AHAB; FROM JEZEBEL OR FROM THE ENTIRE NATION OF ISRAEL:

(1KING 18: 17-18): AHAB.

And it came to pass that when AHAB saw ELIJAH, that Ahab said unto him, ART THOU HE THAT TROUBLETH ISRAEL?

And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but THOU, and THY FATHER’S HOUSE, in that ye have FORSAKEN THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD, and thou hast FOLLOWED BAALIM,

 

JEZEBEL: (1KING19: 1-2) And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.

THEN JEZEBEL sent a messenger unto Elijah. Saying, SO LET THE gods DO TO ME, and more also, IF I MAKE NOT THY LIFE AS THE LIFE OF ONE OF THEM by TOMORROW ABOUT THIS TIME.

 

(1KING.16: 30):

And AHAB THE SON OF OMRI DID EVIL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD above all that were BEFORE HIM.

And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to WALK IN THE SINS OF JEROBOAM the son of Nebat, that HE TOOK TO WIFE JEZEBEL the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and WENT AND SERVED BAAL, and WORSHIPED HIM.

And AHAB MADE A GROVE; and Ahab DID MORE TO PROVOKE THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.

 

For A RULER OF THIS CALIBRE, he had GONE BEYOND REMEDY. He had taken HIS KINGSHIP TO A POINT OF NO RETURN, for himself, his wife, his children, and his kinsfolk.

 

SEVERE AS THESE PLAGUES WERE, GOD ALSO PROVIDED A WAY OF ESCAPE IF, AND WHEN MAN WOULD ACCEPT IT AND APPLY IT. HUMAN REMEDIES LIKE DIGGING WELLS FOR DRINKING WATER IN EGYPT DID HELP. YES, IT DID. BUT THAT KIND OF REMEDY DID NOT GO FAR ENOUGH. GOD’S WAY AS WE HAVE SEEN, WORKED, AND IT WORKED FAST AND PERFECT.
